The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of the Lakeshore on Thursday (Oct. 3) presents the 15th annual Kewaunee County Senior Resource Fair, created to showcase area agencies, businesses and programs that provide support and services for older adults in the Kewaunee County area, and help them to continue to live independently at home.

The ADRC and over 50 vendors will be ready to welcome hundreds of guests to the free event from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall, 625 Third St., Luxemburg.

The ADRC of the Lakeshore will have a table with staff members to answer questions about its services. In addition to that, state agencies will be available including the Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the state Board on Aging and Long Term Care. Energy assistance staff will be on site to walk community members through their applications and get them ready for the winter ahead. There will also be massage demonstrations and chair yoga available at no charge for those who attend as well as blood pressure screenings, free tetanus shots and the availability to get a flu shot. The day will wrap up with a tried and true hit – bingo.

This unique event is the only Senior Resource Fair in Kewaunee County. “Keeping yourself healthy is the best thing you can do for yourself and those you love,” said Cathy Ley, director of the ADRC of the Lakeshore. “We are so excited to assist in making that happen with a vendor list that is exciting, diverse and offers attendees many opportunities for screening, education and experiences to improve their overall well-being.”
