The Algoma Hunting & Fishing Club is hosting a bluegrass festival Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 12-14, on the club grounds, N7809 Willow Drive, Algoma.

The Silver Creek Bluegrass Festival is scheduled for 8-10:30 p.m. Thursday, 1 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday to Saturday morning, and 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Saturday to Sunday morning. Cover charge per person is $15 Friday and $20 Saturday, free on Thursday. Children accompanied by their parents get in free.

Friday — The Outskirts, Hott Saxxx, Hand-Picked Bluegrass, Frogwater, Good Time Specials, Burnt Toast & Jam, Tuck Pence

Saturday — Hand-Picked Bluegrass, Hott Saxxx, Tuck Pence, Oak Street Ramblers, Open Mic, Good Time Specials, Monsters of Grass

“Primitive camping” is available; the club has three camping locations to accommodate tents, pop-up campers to large recreational vehicles. Many campers also bring their all-terrain vehicles to get around.

The event is pet friendly to the extent that dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times.
