The Kewaunee Area Chamber of Commerce is holding its second annual Sip, Savor & Support event from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Lakehaven Hall, 96 Ellis St., Kewaunee.

Residents and visitors will have a chance to sample local wines, beer and unique artisan foods from five wineries, a craft brewery, local artisan cheeses, health food items, Door County cherries, and more.

Along with a taste of Northeast Wisconsin, local artists will be selling oil paintings, acrylic on canvas, photography, jewelry, and pottery. As an added bonus, the Kewaunee High School Art students will be selling painted ceiling tiles to benefit the all-inclusive playground.

This event will also support the Friends of the Kewaunee Pier Head Lighthouse Restoration Committee. This group has been raising money for the restoration of the historic Kewaunee Lighthouse. Several improvements have already been made, but there is still much work to be done. The Committee will hold a silent auction as well as wine glass and wine bottle painting.

At 2 pm, Kewaunee Mayor Sandi Christman will recognize Jay and Kay Stoeger from Cold Country Vines and Wines for their instrumental work in promoting the lighthouse restoration.

Food and refreshments will be sold during the event, and the Kewaunee High School Chamber Choir and Jazz Band will be providing entertainment throughout the afternoon.

Admission to the event is $10 for those 21 years of age and over for wine and food samples. Admission for those under age 21 is $5 for food samples. For more information, contact the Kewaunee Chamber at 920-388-4822.
