The Kewaunee Storm girls basketball team took Wrightstown to overtime but couldn’t quite get past the Tigers, losing a 60-57 heartbreaker in the sectional semifinals Thursday night. The Packerland Conference champions finished with a 21-5 record.


The Luxemburg-Casco wrestling team will be back in Madison on Saturday, this time at the University of Wisconsin Fieldhouse, for the state team wrestling finals. The semi-finals begin at 10 a.m. with the winning teams squaring off at 3 p.m. Tickets for Round 1 are on sale for $8 in the high school office. Tickets are limited to buy throughout the school day during office hours.

Algoma and Luxemburg-Casco, which received first-round byes as No. 2 seeds, begin competition in the boys basketball tournament regional semi-finals at 7 p.m. Friday night. L-C hosts Green Bay Southwest in Division 2, and Algoma hosts Gibraltar in Division 4.

Kewaunee’s season ended Tuesday with an 80-53 opening-round decision at Southern Door.
