As required by state statute on or by Oct. 15 of each year, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has provided the certified amount each public school district will receive from the $4.584 billion appropriated for general state aid for the 2017-18 school year.
According to the numbers generated by the DPI:
Algoma schools will receive $4,160,262 for the 2017-18 school year, a 2.47 percent increase.
The Kewaunee district will receive $5,211,642 this year, a 20.33 percent increase. Only 10 school districts received a greater percentage increase.
Luxemburg-Casco receives $10,945,277 in general state aid for 2017-18, a 3.04 percent increase.
