The three superintendents of public schools in Kewaunee County are scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. Thursday evening in a joint appearance at Luxemburg-Casco High School, 512 Center St., Luxemburg.

“Choices and Challenges: Kewaunee County K-12 Public Education” features Nick Cochart, superintendent of the Algoma School District, Karen Treml, Kewaunee superintendent, and Glenn Schlender, superintendent of the L-C School District.

The event is sponsored by the Kewaunee County Democratic Party but is billed as a free, nonpartisan, public event open to all community members.

“I think people don’t realize how much the superintendents work together,” said County Board Supervisor Mimi Dobbins, president of the county Democratic Party.
