County Fair Week in Kewaunee County officially kicks off with the traditional Tuesday night (July 9) dinner at the Fairgrounds, 625 Third St., Luxemburg, hosted by the Luxemburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

For $12 per person, diners will have a chance to meet fair organizers, hear from Fairest of the Fair Paige Bellin and Junior Fairest Savannah Bailey, and learn about the Chamber during the 6 p.m. social hour., then enjoy a catered meal from the Rendezvous of Luxemburg at 7 p.m., topping it all off with strawberry sundaes from Kewaunee County Dairy Promotion.

The 102nd Kewaunee County Fair is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, July 11-14, with a wide variety of activities centered around youth and 4-H displays, livestock, food and entertainment.

Among the highlights this year:

Spectrum Carnival Rides and games on the midway.

The Kewaunee County Fair Association Farm Tractor Pull at the Grandstand starting at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Musical performances by Modern Day Drifters on Thursday night; Greatest Hits Polka Band, Shocker, and Strutter on Friday; Dr. Bombay, Richrath Project 3:13 and the Ultimate Journey Experience on Saturday; and Frank’s Tribute Show on Sunday afternoon.

A Fair Scavenger Hunt 1-3 p.m. Saturday.

For horse lovers, an Open Speed Show starting at 9 a.m. Sunday.

The Junior Amateur Talent Competition for performers ages 2-18 at 1 p.m. Sunday on the Prevea Children’s Stage in the Exhibition Building. Top individuals will then compete at the Wisconsin State Fair.

A Princesses and Paws event gives kids an opportunity to decorate crowns and take pictures with Princesses and Paw Patrol characters at 2 p.m. Sunday.
