The annual Toys for Tots campaign kicks off Saturday (Nov. 2) with the first of three registration opportunities in Kewaunee County.

The basic mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas.

Families who would like their children to receive toys through the program this holiday season may sign up 10 a.m.-noon Saturday (Nov. 2) at Kewaunee Public Library, 822 Juneau St., Kewaunee; 10 a.m.-noon Nov. 9 at Algoma Public Library, 406 Fremont St., Algoma; and 10 a.m.-noon Nov. 16 at the Village of Luxemburg Municipal Building, 206 Maple St., Luxemburg.

Toys for Tots is for children 16 and under. Families must provide three pieces of information, without which they will not be able to sign up:

1. Picture ID for all adults in the household.

2. Proof of current address (rent receipt, utility bill, recently postmarked mail).

3. Birth certificate or other verification of birth dates for all children in the household (birth certificate, shot record, birth announcement).
