Two teams from Algoma public schools placed high enough over the weekend to advance to the Global Finals of the Destination Imagination competition in Knoxville, Tenn.

The high school team Flamin’ Hot Cheetos placed first in the Technical Challenge during the statewide competition held Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

The elementary school team Project Super Heroes placed second in the Project Outreach Challenge. The top three teams in each division earned a trip to the University of Tennessee on May 24-27.

The school district DI teams posted all of the results involving Algoma teams on Facebook, including those from the Algoma School District (ASD), St. Paul’s Lutheran School (SPS) and St. Mary School (SMS):

The elementary level team Amazing Wild Imagination Busters from Luxemburg-Casco School District placed ninth among 15 teams in the Improv Challenge.
