2025 BMW M5: A New Era of Performance and Innovation

BMW has unveiled the seventh generation of its iconic M5 sedan, marking a significant shift towards electrification. The 2025 BMW M5 combines a high-revving V8 engine with an electric motor, resulting in a formidable plug-in hybrid powertrain. This new setup delivers an impressive 717 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful M5 to date.

The new M5’s design is both aggressive and refined. It features a wider stance, with the front and rear axles extended by 3.0 and 1.9 inches, respectively. The front fascia is adorned with vents and sharp angles, while a subtle lip spoiler enhances the rear’s character. Buyers can choose from nine standard colors or opt for unique BMW Individual shades.

Despite its increased weight of 5,390 pounds, the M5’s performance remains stellar. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph, extendable to 190 mph with the M Driver’s Package. The hybrid system allows for 25 miles of electric-only driving, providing a quiet and efficient mode for urban commutes.

Inside, the M5 offers luxurious features such as the BMW Individual Full Merino Metallic leather trim, available in striking bi-color options. The interior lighting, including the BMW Interaction Bar, creates an exclusive ambiance, while the standard Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System and Sky Lounge Panoramic Roof add to the premium experience.

The 2025 BMW M5 is set to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2024, with production starting the same month. Deliveries will begin in November 2024, with prices starting at approximately $120,675. This new M5 not only continues the legacy of high performance but also embraces the future of automotive innovation.
