Two Kewaunee County officials are among the scheduled speakers Wednesday (Aug. 28) when the Speaker’s Task Force on Water Quality holds a public hearing in Green Bay.
“The Speaker’s Task Force on Water Quality has been created to gather information and make policy recommendations to better assess and improve the quality of both surface water and ground water in our state,” according to the summary posted at the Legislature’s website.
County Conservationist Davina Bonness and Supervisor Lee Luft, a member of the county Land and Water Committee, are listed among the planned speakers for the hearing, which is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. in Fort Howard Hall of Weidner Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, 2420 Nicolet Drive, Green Bay.
Sens. Robert Cowles, R-Green Bay, and Andre Jacque, R-De Pere, are members of the task force.
