The kick-off meeting for the development of a master plan for Algoma’s Olson Park has been scheduled for 10-11:30 a.m. Friday (Oct. 12) at Knudson Hall (above the Youth Center), 620 Lake St, Algoma.

Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission is developing the plan as part of a $5,589 Land Use and Community Planning grant received through the Wisconsin Department of Administration’s Wisconsin Coastal Management Program.

The project will also assess public access locations to the Ahnapee River from Lake Michigan inland to the Forestville Dam and develop a water trail plan for Algoma.
