A growing number of people are serving as caregivers for a spouse, partner, parent, or friend. But while they’re taking care of someone else, it’s possible to lose sight of their own needs.
Starting Tuesday, April 10, the Aging and Disability Center of the Lakeshore is offering “Powerful Tools for Caregivers,” a workshop that teaches you how to take care of yourself while caring for someone else. The program is designed to help you cope with the challenges that come with your role as a caregiver.
This class series meets once a week for six weeks, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., at St. John Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Road, Luxemburg. A $10 donation is requested.
Class size is limited, and registration is required. Call 1-877-416-7083 to pre-register.
A strong, committed participation of at least eight (8) class members is recommended for the class to be successful and beneficial to its participants as well as attendance at all six classes, as each class builds upon the previous one.
