The Zoological Society of Kewaunee County has decided to cancel this year’s Zoobilee, the annual open house and fundraising event that is usually held the first Saturday in October.

“Because of Covid-19 we have made the decision to cancel ZOOBILEE this year,” the organization announced Tuesday (Sept. 1) at its Bruemmer Park Zoo page on Facebook. “Stay healthy and safe and we will see you at Zoobilee next year.”

The post encouraged supporters to visit BruemmerParkZoo.com for donation opportunities and follow the Facebook page for the latest information.

The society is the private organization that supports activities and upgrades to the Kewaunee County zoo.
